Latest Garden Flooring Trends 2023

2023 is here... and you're still stuck on deciding what flooring your garden should have?! Don't worry, we're here to help!

In this mini article, we'll discuss a dedicated list of 4 different types of flooring you can select for your garden... and if your garden is big enough, why not include them all!? From budget-friendly to high-class and luxurious, regardless of where you sit, there will always be an option for you. Here is a 5-minute blog post to help you make up your mind!

1. Wooden Decking

Decking is a wonderful component of any garden, as it is the main entertainment area where friends and family can gather around and enjoy - regardless of the weather! This method of flooring allows any cracked paving underneath to be covered up and forgotten about, creating a more natural and organic look in your garden. Usually made of timber, not only can this be a budget-friendly approach, but will also allow you years of use if varnished.

2. Turf

A few rolls of turf can create a brand-new look for your remodelled garden, all at an affordable price! This can be installed fairly simply by a handyman or through DIY yourself, for just at the expense of time. This will need regular maintenance of cutting and watering for the first three to four weeks but is totally worth it in the end!

3. Artificial Grass

A slightly harder process of installing (as this will require a sub-base and weed sheets), but one that ensures no further hassle! Artificial Grass requires no maintenance at all - the perfect solution for those reading who prefer an easier, more approach to gardening! This method of flooring also provides a natural look for your garden and stays green all year round. Made like carpet, the 'grass' drains the water, eliminating the chances of flooding (as it all seeps through into the soil underneath).

4. Concrete Slabs

A traditional yet modern alternative that includes a flat, horizontal surface - made of cast concrete. This is a commonly used solution that is more budget-friendly and aesthetically pleasing. Cost isn't the issue with this method, it's more a case of labour and time taken to install. There are 5 different types of slabs that you can choose from:

  1. One Way Slab
  2. Two-Way Slab
  3. Unreinforced Slab
  4. Ground Baring Slab
  5. Suspended Slab

The choice is down to preference, and honestly, we could create an entire blog post on each! So with this in mind, if this is the solution you require, we'll be happy to discuss your options during our Site Survey process! We hope this blog post has been useful in helping you to understand the different types of flooring - hopefully, making your decision much easier.

Living rooms are often the centrepiece of a home, but when space is limited, it can be challenging to design a room that is both functional and stylish. However, with a little creativity and strategic planning, it is possible to create a beautiful living room in even the smallest of spaces. One of the most important things to consider when designing a small living room is to choose furniture that is both functional and versatile. A sofa that doubles as a bed, for example, can provide extra sleeping space for guests without taking up too much room. Similarly, a coffee table that can be transformed into a dining table can serve multiple purposes and save valuable floor space. New Paragraph

Here are five popular bathroom layout designs to consider for your next renovation or new home build: The traditional layout: This is the most common bathroom layout, featuring a vanity with a sink, toilet, and shower or bathtub. This layout is efficient and easy to navigate, making it a great option for smaller bathrooms. The L-shaped layout: This layout is similar to the traditional layout but with the addition of a second vanity and sink. This layout is perfect for shared bathrooms or for those who want a little more counter space. The U-shaped layout: This layout features a vanity with a sink, toilet, and bathtub or shower on one wall, with a second vanity and sink on the opposite wall. This layout is great for larger bathrooms and provides ample counter space and storage. The walk-in shower layout: This layout features a large walk-in shower, a vanity with a sink, and a toilet. This layout is perfect for those who prefer a shower over a bathtub and want a more open and modern feel to their bathroom. The spa layout: This layout features a large soaking tub, a separate shower, a double vanity with two sinks, and a toilet. This layout is perfect for those who want a luxurious and relaxing bathroom experience. New Paragraph
